Transforming the University of Vermont: LEADING BY DESIGN FOR A SUSTAINABLE AND DESIRABLE FUTURE

“Our world is in crisis, and time is limited to make the changes required to achieve a sustainable and desirable future. The next 10 years will be critical in finding and implementing real, systemic solutions. We at UVM are deeply committed to transforming our University into the world leader in ecosystem thinking, learning, and sustainable design in order to meet this challenge.”
—UVM President Fogel & Provost Hughes

To help achieve these bold aspirations, President Fogel and Provost Hughes have recently secured the Transforming the University of Vermont: Leading by Design for a Sustainable and Desirable Future planning grant. By design, we are referring to design in the fullest sense, including curriculum, pedagogy, economics, buildings, landscapes, physical plant, and more.  Read the full proposal [PDF].

Sarah Montgomery Design designed a poster, ads and graphics for a web site to elicit feedback from the University and the community. We helped the client formulate the message and create the graphics using the artwork "Domina" by UVM lecturer Cameron Davis.
